Will only speak in rhyming slang with a German accent, Jason is the smallest member of the band standing at only 45cm tall. His magic eyeteeth make him the fastest drummer in the band.
Pam Flets
Spawned from a chicken’s egg hatched under a toad. This marketing genius is 2nd cousin (once removed) to Lee. Likes rubbing jam into her elbows.
Small Daniels
A type of pirate/sailor. Knows far too much about all of the band. Holds this knowledge over us like a dark shadow, never allows us to leave. Very badly dubbed at times.
Min the Merciless
Extreme ironing-board race winner for 9 consecutive decades, Min is sister to Kali-Ma the Destroyer and Thikc Kevin the Congenital.
Lee Flets
Morally flexible child, Rubik’s cube prodigy who has fallen by the wayside. Singlehandedly responsible for the cold war. Often summons mythical beasts.
Lord Thumptington
Son of a pile driver and a rickets laden mother, covers distance in the manner of a knight on a chess board.
Chops
A sentient by-product of fractional distillation, if she stops smiling she will return to her liquid state.
Gadget
Occurred naturally within the band, no one knows why or talks about when this happened, frequently bleeds during performance
Pinky
Has been around in some form or another for 4000 years, every culture has a name for him. Should not be approached from behind.
Mad Dog
Timeshare apocalyptic road warrior, never sleeps and is always damp, can’t get his head around blinking.
J’Nsawrus – Reps
Retired Sith Lord, heavily telekinetic. Has wooden legs but real feet.
Kestral
Mystic avian jester, from a place no one can pronounce, discovered by David Attenborough in the 50’s, for some reason we can all understand her strange language. Never ages.
Momo
Professional gurner. Standing at 8 foot, she is the tallest member of the band but does not often unfurl her legs to utilise her knees. Invented Rum.
About Deatbeats
Deatbeats was formed by musicians Neil Armstrong and Ben Mageary with an aim to deliver a noise machine that fused the excitement/power of a live percussion band with the interactive visual theatrics of street entertainment to the club/festival environment. Since its conception at the ill-fated Furness Fest in 2008, Deatbeats has grown in both numbers and popularity, performing alongside acts such as Sub Focus, Krafty Kuts at MONSTER MONSTER nights, Ibibio Sound Machine and Craig Charles as well as appearing at Festivals such as Kendal Calling, Solfest, Beacons and Manchester Academy IllumiNaughty events. Deatbeats strength lies in its unique approach at merging contemporary and traditional rhythms together and its “onslaught of the senses” design along with its versatility, enthusiasm and ultimate desire to “bring the party” to any event it gets its hands on.
